FAQs

Do you treat men and children?

I currently offer Pelvic Health services to women only, however, I plan to expand my service in the future.

I do offer 1:1 Physio Led exercise to men and children/adolescents.

Do I need a referral from my doctor to see you?

You do not require a referral from your doctor to see me for Physiotherapy or Exercise based treatment, however, if you have a complex and chronic health condition you may be eligible for Medicare support to subsidise your appointments. Please discuss this with your doctor.

Do you recommend cancelling my pelvic health appointment if I have my period?

It does not affect my assessment or treatment, however, we can assist you to reschedule if you would prefer to.

I want to work with you but cannot afford 1:1, do you offer group based sessions?

I offer group exercise sessions at The Movement Collective gym.

To provide a more cost effective option I am now offering online programming and support in 2024.

If I do not wish to consent to a vaginal examination, can I still have a pelvic floor assessment?

Whilst a digital vaginal or rectal examination is the most accurate assessment, I can offer assessment that is less invasive such as visual or transperineal or transabdominal ultrasound.

I consider your whole body in my assessment, including your breathing patterns, rib and thoracic spine mobility, and muscle restrictions.

Attending an appointment can still be extremely informative, and theraputic.
